It wouldn’t be summer without the scoops, shakes, and soft serve. These tried-and-tested favorites definitely make the season sweeter, and the heat more bearable. However, one treat stands out from the rest: the classic ice cream sundae.
From banana splits to creative signature options, an ice cream sundae will never disappoint. And on our journey through NEPA’S many ice cream spots, we’ve discovered some incredible creations.
West Pittston, PA
Take on this mountain of a sundae if you dare. The Krakatoa is made with chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream at the base of a sugar cone volcano. Then, they add hot fudge lava, cotton candy smoke, and chocolate rocks. This fun sundae comes in both child and adult sizes (it’s not just for kids!).

The Brookie Sundae is perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth. It starts with Blue Ribbon’s chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. Then, they add a generous amount of hot fudge and brownie pieces, and top it all off with whipped cream and a cherry.
