Take a step back into the 19th century at this nonprofit, historic, teaching farm and museum—listed on the National Register of Historic Places—with a one-room school house, gift shop, and authentically clothed farmers who offer programs year-round.

Children of all ages enjoy tours to see the horses, goats, owls, chickens, bunnies, ducks, pigs, turkeys, and more. It will feel like the days of yore when you hold a newly birthed goat, pig, or chicken while learning more about wax candle making or how weather affects the harvest.

Spooky Days on the Farm

During the last weekend in October, you can enjoy Spooky Days on the Farm. On Friday and Saturday night, the colonial village becomes the site of a gruesome murder. You’ll have to explore the farm, meet the suspects, and gather the clues to solve the mystery.

On Saturday and Sunday afternoon, Quiet Valley has Halloween-themed games, stories, and wagon rides to get you in the spirit. These activities are geared toward families with younger children.
