Mission Statement
The mission of Leadership Northeast is to develop informed and committed leaders from all segments of the community who will serve, strengthen and improve Northeastern Pennsylvania. Hundreds of people connect with LNE every year through six Leadership programs, community impact project initiatives and active alumni network. There are multiple entry points into the organization offering varying degrees of opportunity to explore your potential, widen your sphere of influence, engage in authentic relationships with other leaders, and ultimately impact the quality of life in our region.
Leadership Northeast (formerly Leadership Wilkes-Barre) has helped more than 10,500 participants grow professionally and personally. This leadership development organization brings together leaders throughout the community and helps them reach their full potentials.
Leadership Northeast offers six programs: the Leadership Northeast Core Program, Impact Leadership in Education, Junior Leadership (for high school juniors), Executive Leadership, Intercollegiate Leadership and the Professional Development Series (in-house leadership training). The programs provide opportunities to network with other leaders, gain teambuilding skills and give back to the community.
Servant leadership is at the heart of Leadership Northeast’s programs. Participants create their own community service projects and help improve quality of life in the region.
