Earth Day Hike | Vosburg Neck State Park, Tunkhannock

Earth Day Hike takes place at Vosburg Neck State Park in Tunkhannock on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 1:00 PM, inviting the public to celebrate Earth Day and Arbor Day with a guided hike hosted by Endless Mountains Heritage Region and the park. Participants should check in by 1:00 PM at 470 Vosburg Rd, Tunkhannock, PA 18657.
The hike will cover roughly four miles—about half of Vosburg Neck’s seven miles of trails—following the Vista Trail while combining the Howlin’Down and Whitetail trails. Along the route, DCNR Environmental Education Specialist Amanda Kiernan will share insights about the different types of trees found throughout the park.
Because trails may be muddy this time of year, participants are encouraged to wear hiking boots or comfortable sneakers and dress for the weather. Bringing enough water for the duration of the hike is recommended.
The event is free and open to the public. For planning purposes, registration is requested by Thursday, April 23, 2026.
