Mother Nature Is the Best Classroom

Located on 211 pristine acres, it serves as learning space for Lackawanna College’s certificate programs in Sustainable Leadership, Conservation and Natural Resources, and Beekeeping. The center also hosts programs that are open to the public.
The Lackawanna College Environmental Education Center holds educational events all year long. The entire family can join nature walks, environmental talks, and wildlife presentations. Children’s programs, summer day camps, birthday parties, and field trips allow kids to get their hands dirty as they explore nature.
The center also has five trails that are open to the public. Stroll through the forests and meadows to check out their wind turbine, solar panels, bird feeding station, and apiary.
