Borrow a bike and explore the city… all for free!

Lackawanna Heritage Valley BikeShare is a free bike sharing program run by Lackawanna Heritage Valley. Pick up a bike, lock and helmet from their location at the Greater Carbondale YMCA. You can use the bike and equipment all day, so get pedaling! Take a ride along the scenic Carbondale Riverwalk extension of the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail. This two-mile section runs through the heart of the city’s downtown.

To participate, you must be 16 or older and have a valid driver’s license or state photo ID. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent.

Other BikeShare locations include Weinberg Memorial Library, Lackawanna Heritage Valley Headquarters, Electric City Roasting Company and Hotel Anthracite.  Bikes must be borrowed from and returned to the same location. Please check individual locations for operating hours.
