White Deer Lake in Pike County near Hawley is a 49-acre glacial lake located within Delaware State Forest. This scenic waterway features a boat launch, parking area, and permits the use of electric motors, making it ideal for peaceful days of fishing and boating. Anglers will find bass, panfish, and walleye in the lake’s clear, cool waters. Surrounded by forest and only a few cabins, White Deer Lake offers a calm, wild setting in the Pocono Mountains.

Easy Access & Lake Features

Access the lake from S.R. 402, located north of I-84 and south of U.S. Route 6. A parking area near the boat launch provides a convenient starting point, and potable water is available at the northern entrance off Route 402. With a maximum depth of 18 feet, the lake supports a healthy fish population and offers excellent opportunities for shoreline or boat-based fishing.

Day Use Only in a Wild Setting

White Deer Lake’s undeveloped shoreline makes it a quiet escape for day users. While a few cabins dot the area, the majority of the shoreline remains wild and wooded. Overnight camping is not permitted near the lake, so visitors should plan their trips accordingly. Whether you’re boating with an electric motor or casting from the bank, this glacial gem promises a relaxing day outdoors.
