The Meadowsweet Preserve in Dalton is a 59-acre natural escape managed by the Countryside Conservancy. This serene property features a two-mile out-and-back trail that connects directly to Quarry Ridge Preserve and Lackawanna State Park. The trail leads hikers through a beautiful mix of forests, wetlands, and open meadows, offering scenic views and frequent encounters with local wildlife. It’s a favorite spot for peaceful morning or evening hikes when the sunlight paints the landscape in gold.

Plan Your Visit

Visitors can park in the gravel lot on Lily Lake Road, about half a mile north of the North Abington Road intersection. The preserve opens daily from dawn to dusk. Moreover, the Countryside Conservancy encourages guests to stay on marked trails to protect the area’s delicate habitats.
