From the coal mines to the factories, NEPA was an industrial powerhouse in the early 20th century. Visit the Pennsylvania Anthracite Heritage Museum at McDade Park for a peek inside the area’s past.

Anthracite People is the museum’s permanent collection. This exhibit will give you a glimpse inside the lives of immigrants, miners, and factory workers. You’ll feel like you’ve gone back in time as you explore models of a miner’s home and an old-fashioned saloon. The exhibit also features historic machinery and fascinating photos.

The temporary exhibits mean there’s always something new at the museum. Check out new art and photography displays throughout the year.
