Open to the public year-round, the sanctuary offers a peaceful retreat with miles of walking trails, historic buildings & educational experiences that connect visitors to the land’s unique ecological and historical significance.
Nature Trails & Historic Landmarks

Home to the Dorflinger Glass Museum
One of the sanctuary’s most treasured features is the Dorflinger Glass Museum, which houses the nation’s largest collection of Dorflinger crystal. With over 900 dazzling pieces, the museum preserves the legacy of glassmaking in White Mills from 1852 to 1921, offering an in-depth look at the artistry and craftsmanship that once made the area world-renowned.
Music in the Meadow: The Wildflower Music Festival
Each summer, the sanctuary comes alive with the Wildflower Music Festival—an outdoor concert series set against a backdrop of open fields and wooded hills. This highly regarded series features a diverse lineup of musicians, from classical and jazz to folk and popular performers, offering unforgettable cultural experiences in a natural amphitheater.
The Dorflinger-Suydam Wildlife Sanctuary blends conservation, history & the performing arts to enrich lives and preserve White Mills’ legacy for generations.
