Great food and cheap, cold beer – recipe for a great time
These days it’s getting harder to find a true, classic neighborhood corner bar. Rudy’s Tavern in East Stroudsburg is just that. From the dark wood-toned walls to the checked tile floor and the old arcade game in the back corner, Rudy’s is definitely a throwback.
And it doesn’t stop at the décor. Rudy’s likes to keep it simple with a standard beer list and an even more standard bar menu. Stop in and grab a pint and a simple, but delicious grilled cheese sandwich or cheesesteak. But if you’re really up for a Rudy’s original, try the Super, a hot dog stuffed with cheese, wrapped in bacon and delivered with a smile.
You don’t need to spend a lot of money to have a good time. And at Rudy’s, where no beers are over $4 and only two items from the menu are over $5, it’s possible to do just that.
