Hiking, Biking and Plenty of Family Fun
Aylesworth Park sits alongside the famed Casey Highway, just east of Jermyn. The small, yet easily accessible park covers 252-acres of picturesque mountain landscape. The main feature of the park is the 4-acre, trout-stocked lake with over 170-feet of soft sandy beach. You’ll also be happy to find a network of biking / hiking trails, a family playground, soccer fields and a large pavilion.
The two main attractions at Aylesworth Park are the biking/hiking trails and the four-acre Aylesworth Creek Lake. The trails are beautifully maintained and clearly marked. Whether you are hiking or biking, you’re in for a smooth, scenic adventure.
The lake provides an abundance of outdoor activities for all ages, such as fishing, boating and swimming. The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission stocks the lake twice a year. It’s an ideal spot for eager anglers looking to land that trophy trout. And while you’re visiting, be sure to take a stroll across the top of the dam. Just don’t forget to snap some gorgeous pics of the lake to the east or the valley spreading out to the west.
Add Aylesworth Park to your 2019 summer bucket list. Whether you are interested in riding through the picturesque trails, casting a line in the lake, or simply relaxing outside, Aylesworth Park is the perfect place.
