Join us on our bike ride through this peaceful Hazleton treasure
A convenient, easy, and fun, family friendly trail
The Greater Hazleton Rails to Trails is a recreational trail located just south of Downtown Hazleton. The Rails to Trails Committee under the Greater Hazleton Civic Partnership manages and maintains the trail.
The 9.1 mile out-and-back trail features easy access, plenty of parking and picnic tables. The trail’s crushed stone path and gentle grade make for easy walking and smooth biking. And visitors are welcomed by a beautiful garden maintained by the Hazleton Area Garden Club.
Throughout the trail, you’ll find scenic views along the Dreck Creek Reservoir. The trail also hosts natural habitats for birds, bats and bees along with educational signs. It provides the perfect outdoor adventure for little hikers interested in plants, animals and nature. You’ll also have little trouble keeping your furry friend hydrated with the trail’s rainwater filtration system and water dispenser for dogs. And if you’re looking to get back into shape, you’ll surely enjoy one of many fitness stations along the trail. With several stations including pull-up bars and balance walks, this is a full-featured fitness trail and a great place to work on balance or start shedding those pounds.
Bring along a picnic basket and the whole family for a hike or ride along this truly beautiful trail.
