Since 2004, the Rainbow Alliance was been a voice for the local LGBTQA+ community. This nonprofit is based in Wilkes-Barre and provides education, support and advocacy to LGBTQA+ individuals and families.

The Rainbow Alliance strives to create a future where all people in NEPA can live openly and without fear. They seek to help people and businesses work together to make an equal and inclusive community. They also celebrate diversity and host several programs and events throughout the year, like the annual NEPA PrideFest.
