On Thursday, October 6th, 2022 the Elevate Young Professionals Network is hosting the 7th Annual Young Professionals Awards at PNC Field, in collaboration with our regional chamber partners, recognizing amazing young professionals helping to move our region forward. This year’s event is presented by Coal Creative.

This year’s award categories include: Intern of the Year, Educator of the Year, Trailblazer of the Year, Small Business Owner of the Year, STEAM Professional of the Year, Hero of the Year, Cultural Champion of the Year, Voluntary Leader of the Year, NEPA Influencer of the Year, Young Professional Women’s Leadership Award, and (NEW this year!) Community Opportunities: Learn How to LEAD In Our Community At Our 2022 Legislative Education and Advocacy Day!
Legislative Education and Advocacy Day (LEAD) is an exciting event that gives attendees an opportunity to learn about advocacy on the local and state level. Presented in partnership with our regional Chambers, LEAD is designed to further attendees’ knowledge of the legislative process, grassroots advocacy, and major current statewide and national policy initiatives. This event provides attendees with tools and resources to build their advocacy toolbelt and meet their legislators/representatives to discuss topics that are important to them and the communities they serve. Attendees hear from an array of passionate speakers from elected officials, the government sector, community organizers, and advocates. Join us on Friday, October 14 from 7:30 AM – 1:30 PM at the Woodlands. Session topics include: Mayor Roundtable; Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Politics; Workforce Panel; Chamber Advocacy Panel; Women in Politics; Transportation Panel; and Politics 101. Get Involved in Community Initiatives: YP Giving In Its Final Fundraising Stretch!
The YP Giving Program is only $10,000 away from its fundraising goal to award one outstanding non-profit with up to $50,000 in grant funding for a community-based program that addresses the issue of poverty.
YP Giving is a new philanthropy program run through the Greater Wyoming Valley Chamber of Commerce, The Luzerne Foundation, Leadership Northeast, and AllOne Charities, in partnership with the Chamber’s Young Professionals Network.
This program gives young professionals in the Greater Wyoming Valley the opportunity to leave a lasting impact on their community through a local giving platform and also helps to cultivate our next generation of philanthropists.

You are invited to hear from the top 4 non-profit finalists for the YP Giving grant. Representatives from each organization will present how their proposed projects will impact our community.
