Are you up for a challenge?

Then kick off summer by joining Lackawanna State Park on a hike – a 9-mile hike that is! You’ll make our way through the Day Use Area, to the South Shore, up to the Flats, and back to complete a circuit around Lackawanna Lake.

The path will be a long one, taking you along trails with inclines, tripping hazards, muddy sections and other risks associated with the natural areas. Dress for the weather, wear appropriate footwear, and bring something to eat and drink.

This is not a race or competition, but you will hike as a group at a moderate pace with limited breaks. This hike is open to all interested but participants are expected to self-evaluate their abilities with consideration given to fitness level, experience, terrain, distance, and weather. Minors under 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
