Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center and Susan G. Komen will host the More Than Pink Walk on Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Frank M. and Dorothea Henry Cancer Center.

This year’s walk will begin at the Henry Cancer Center and continue around the hospital campus and walking trail. The walk kicks off at 9 a.m. with Rebecca Jordan, D.O., captaining the team.

Dr. Jordan, director of breast surgery at Geisinger Wyoming Valley, helps patients understand their diagnosis, build a treatment plan and, most importantly, realize life with and after cancer.

“I believe that great care, especially cancer care, is based on a strong physician-patient relationship built on understanding and kindness,”
she said.

The annual event celebrates hope and compassion while raising funds to support research and programs that connect people with breast cancer screenings, diagnostics and treatment help.
