Nearly 3,500 miles separate the Endless Mountains from the Andes, but these two mountain ranges have one thing in common: alpacas!

A herd of 40 of these fluffy animals make their home at Alpacas of Sunshine Farm in New Milford. At the farm store, their fiber is transformed into luxurious clothing. These sweaters, gloves, scarves, hats, and socks are sure to keep you cozy in the winter. If you love to knit, the raw fleece, yarn, and roving will be perfect for your next project.

The farm store is open daily. Guided tours of the farm are also available by appointment, so be sure to call ahead.
