Preserving the Legacy of Dorflinger Glass
The Dorflinger Factory Museum showcases the history and craftsmanship of Wayne County’s own Dorflinger glass company. With factories in Brooklyn, New York, and White Mills, Pennsylvania, this company created fine lead crystal tableware during the Gilded Age. Today, you can visit the museum, learn about the glass making process, and view their collection of over 2,600 finished pieces.
The museum is located in the two remaining factory buildings in White Mills—the restored 1883 cutting shop and the 1888 factory office. With magnificent bluestone architecture on the outside, the buildings hold even more treasures on the inside. The exhibits feature a premier collection of Dorflinger glass, as well as factory artifacts.
Public tours are available daily, or you can request a private group tour.
