A Taste of Germany in the Pocono Mountains

From biergartens to bratwurst, Alpine Wurst & Meat House brings authentic German cuisine to Honesdale. For thirty years, this restaurant and deli has smoked traditional meats on premises. Sample German dishes in the restaurant or take home some sausages, wurst, and meats from the shop.

You can’t miss Oktoberfest at the Alpine. It’s an entire weekend of music, dancing, food, and beer held each August.

Menu Highlights

Try traditional German specialties like weiner schnitzel or the popular kassler rippchen, a smoked pork loin. Pair your meal with sides like potato pancakes, spaetzle, or sauerkraut. Of course, the meal wouldn’t be complete without a German beer, so be sure to check out their selection of drinks.
