Borrow a bike and explore the city… all for free!
BikeScranton is a free bike sharing program run by Lackawanna Heritage Valley. Pick up a bike, lock, and helmet from their location at the Weinberg Memorial Library at the University of Scranton. You can use the bike and equipment all day, so get pedaling! You’ll be just a short ride from historical attractions like the Steamtown National Historic Site and Electric City Trolley Museum. For a relaxing ride, head to Nay Aug Park and enjoy the beauty of nature. Another popular biking route is the scenic Lackawanna River Heritage Trail.
To participate, you must be 16 or older and have a valid driver’s license or state photo ID. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent.
Other BikeScranton locations include Lackawanna Heritage Valley, the Marywood University Library, Strive Multisport, and Hilton Scranton & Conference Center. Bikes must be borrowed from and returned to the same location. Please check individual locations for operating hours.
