See busy beavers at work.
Just north of Lake Winola in Dalton, the Davis Crossing Preserve is a bird watcher’s paradise. With dense forest and diverse wetlands, the trails on this 61-acre preserve offer incredible wildlife views. The trails at Davis Crossing are fairly easy with a 1-mile loop and a straight out-and-back trail that leads to a viewing stand overlooking the pond. Here you may occasionally see beavers hard at work.
The Davis Crossing Preserve is owned and managed by the Countryside Conservancy. It is open to the public from dawn to dusk.
