You might know Lake Wallenpaupack as a summertime vacation spot full of motorboats and cookouts, but it’s time to discover a more tranquil side of the lake. Get in touch with the lake’s wild side at Shuman Point Natural Area, one of the last undeveloped areas on the lake.
This 300-acre area is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts and features a 3.5-mile loop trail. On the trail, soak up the sounds of waves lapping the shore, explore the forest, and discover the historic stone walls.
Four-legged friends are welcome, so bring your pet to enjoy a day at the lake too.
