Bike around the lake, hike through the mountains, or picnic in the woods year-round at Tobyhanna State Park, in Monroe and Wayne Counties.

Tobyhanna State Park offers plenty of activities for the whole family. The Lakeside Trail circles Tobyhanna Lake in a five-mile loop. Part of the trail is paved, so it’s an easy walk. Hikers and mountain bikers share the trail in the warmer months. In the winter, it is open to snowmobilers and cross-country skiers. The Range Trail is a bit more difficult. It passes swamps, wetlands, and boulder fields. The Frank Gantz Trail is the most challenging. This rocky trail connects to Gouldsboro State Park.

In the summer, swim at the sand beach, rent a boat, or fish at the lake. After a day of outdoor fun, take a break at one of the picnic areas. Tables and charcoal grills are located in the woods and fields.

Want to stay and enjoy the beauty of the Poconos? Tobyhanna State Park has campsites complete with modern facilities, picnic tables, fire rings, and a playground.
