Lace up your boots and take a hike through a winter wonderland.

With the freshly fallen snow, we decided it was the perfect time to take a trip down to Locust Lake State Park in Barnesville to embark on a woodland adventure. Open year-round, the park features three hiking trails where you can explore the forests and even spot some wildlife.

We started our trek on the 1.3-mile-long paved bike trail, which offered breathtaking views of the icy lake. We then went off the beaten path onto the Tree Discovery Trail, which was developed and constructed as an Eagle Scout project. We were met with the calming sounds of the flowing, crystal clear stream nearby.

Of course, we took the camera along to capture these gorgeous wintery sights. Check out our photos from the trip.
