Free Luzerne County Concert Series Returns to Rock Wilkes-Barre’s River Common

Rockin’ the River is back for the summer! On Friday, July 22 we stopped by the Millennium Circle at Downtown Wilkes-Barre’s River Common for a night filled with live music, local vendors and plenty of summer fun by the river. The popular event brings nationally-touring bands and local talent to this incredible outdoor stage for the last three Fridays in July.

The night showcased three bands, all of varying genres and equally impressive talent. The show started out strong with rock band, Tori V & The Karma. They were followed by the power blues-rock trio, Dustin Douglas & The Electric Gentlemen who brought their own vibe of retro, groove, and the vintage blues to the audience. Rounding out the perfect evening, The Taxmen paid tribute to the legendary Beatles with a rockin’ set of beloved favorites.

The free, family-oriented concerts kicked off last weekend and continue with one final show on Friday July 29. That evening will feature 2022’s series headliner, roots-rock band, Cabinet who has strong ties to NEPA. We couldn’t pass up a night filled with fantastic live music and of course, we brought the camera along to capture it all. Check it out!
