A Small Preserve on a Mission

Pocono Creek Nature Preserve in Tannersville is a six-acre property dedicated to improving trout habitat. The Pocono Heritage Land Trust and the Brodhead Chapter of Trout Unlimited partnered to preserve this section of Pocono Creek.

Take a walk along the water. The creek runs through the towering trees of an old-growth forest. It’s ideal for a short, easy hike just minutes from town.

Fishing is permitted, but under special regulations. They allow artificial lure catch and release only.

The preserve is located behind a residential area. Park at the shopping center and walk down Old Mill Road to access the preserve. Additional parking is available at the old Northampton Community College lot on Old Mill Road.
