The City of Hazleton, referred to colloquially as The Mountain City, sits atop Spring Mountain. Its highest point reaches an elevation of almost 1,900 feet, offering the historic city both a lasting nickname and the distinction of the highest incorporated city in Pennsylvania.

For three Fridays during the summer, Hazleton’s City View Park becomes the site of Rockin’ the Mountain, a free concert series with live, local music, food vendors and big crowds. And during the holidays, the Downtown Hazleton Alliance for Progress, The Hazleton Chamber of Commerce and Hazleton Parks and Recreation light up Can Do Community Park for Hazleton for the Holidays, an old-fashioned, holiday celebration featuring a popular Night Market and Wassailfest.
