Northeastern Pennsylvania celebrates a long, storied legacy of land, water and wildlife conservation. By all accounts, despite its flourishing cities, busy downtowns and quiet suburbs, most of NEPA is still a wild and natural place. And we should all celebrate our shared, monumental responsibility to protect it.

In total, NEPA’s geographical land area covers 6,203 square miles. That’s nearly 4 million acres. The vast majority of that acreage is made up of dense forests, wide, rolling stretches of farmland, ancient mountains of bedrock, deep natural or manmade lakes and thousands of miles of streams and rivers.
